Pair of vintage studio pottery jugs from Devamere Studio Pottery Brighton, 1960s
A pair of rare items of studio pottery from the short-lived Devamere Studio Pottery, Brighton. The company was set up in 1964, registered at 40A, St George's Road, Brighton and closed down in May 1976.
These two jugs are in good vintage condition - handpainted designs of Hove Dairy Festival 1967 and Hove Dairy Festival 1968 - this was a major event in Sussex during the summers of the 1960s and 1970s. The jugs are a beautiful cheery yellow colour, with no chips, cracks or repairs.
The motto on the back is Latin for "Let Hove Flourish"
