Denby Arabesque 1/4 pint cream jug & plate - Vintage Retro Mid Century Modern
Denby Arabesque pottery was first introduced in 1963 and is one of the most recognised and collected patterns in the Denby pottery range. Gill Pemberton designed the Denby Arabesque pattern, taking inspiration from a trip to Russia.
The pattern has been highly popular amongst china & pottery collectors since being discontinued in 1984. Samarkand was the original name for the collection; however, this was later changed as the same name was used for an exhibited Portmeirion Pottery.
This small jug stands approx 4" high and is in good vintage condition, no chips, cracks or repairs, ditto for the matching plate which measures approx 3.5" in diameter.
