2 Clarice Cliff deep bowls or soup tureens - cream with green & brown banding
Clarice Cliff is, today, regarded as one of the most influential ceramics artists of the 20th Century and her work is collected, valued and admired the World over. The first exhibition of her work took place in Brighton, shortly before her death in 1972.
These two deep bowls or soup tureens most likely date to the 1930s, judging by the style of the backstamp.
They are in good vintage condition, no chips or cracks - one handle on each has what may either be a repair or a manufacturing fault (please see photos for details)
